The Cyber Breach Communication Playbook
After about a year in the works, I am pleased that this little book is now complete. Written with my good friend and business associate, Peter Coroneos, one of Australia's cybersecurity gurus, we hope to help companies prepare for and respond to cybersecurity breaches, which unfortunately are becoming far too common.
The book provides an up-to-date context for understanding the risks we face and offers a reliable, effective way to prepare for and deal with a breach.
The Playbook has an emphasis on communication and the need to recalibrate workplace cultural norms so that vigilance trumps the false sense of security we have about the likelihood of cybersecurity risks.
We have also included 14 case studies and made an assessment of how well each dealt with the breach.
You can find out more about the book at this micro-site.
We have had some great feedback from people who previewed the book, including this review from Justine Milne:
"Cybercrime is a genuine existential threat to all of the organisations upon which our economy depends. This extremely useful playbook is a weapon for the good guys and should be compulsory reading for all executive and non-executive leaders.”
